A Visit To The Therion Hotel (LOG)

Comissioner(?) Chief(?) Haita is to wear the Cone of Shame because what was supposed to be a simple hotel haunting check up resulted in the hotel half awakening as a Kaiju, and Those We Answer To are demanding to know why there's such a huge insurance bill.

And as I have told the people who would understand, by the time I arrived a 'friendly visitor' from the Warp had already transformed the hotel into a kaiju.

I'm going to wear the cone but I minimized the damage I could.

Well, sorry that I handled things as well as anyone in that situation could have handled it.

I swear, sometimes I think the voice in my head that tells me we should just convert this gig into a modern-day adventurer's guild has the right of it.

...I sense just uttering those words has been a critical error but.

Basically, shifting our focus to bounties for information about credible supernatural threats or problems. Put out a bounty board for investigation in these with a meticulously crafted rating scale for difficulty, potential dangers of taking on the job, etc, and track those who are in good standing to refer others to us to keep the cycle going.

We can't handle every threat, obviously, and we're never going to be able to solve the problem of kids in Duel Academy being Vigilantes, so we might as well do our best to make it a safer endeavor.

I dunno, just a nagging thought in my brain. Maybe I've played too much Monster Hunter...
